Howdy Buckaroos –
Writing this from San Angelo, TX today in the parking lot of the Walmart, en route to the cowboy capital of Texas, Bandera.
This week we are at Cora’s 471 Grill in Castroville near San Antonio on the 15th, Fat Daddy’s in Mansfield with our FULL BAND opening for my good buddy KEVIN FOWLER on Friday the 16th, and then we will be at Coconut Island Bar in Seven Points, TX at 6pm on the 17th. NOTE: the time has been changed for Saturday’s show.
There are only 9 days left on my IndieGoGo campaign. If you pre-order it now, it helps me cover the steep costs involved in finishing the project. If you contribute, I will send you an mp3 of one of the new tunes. If you reply to this email, I will send you an extra bonus mp3!
Next week, I am taking the weekend off to attend the 50th annual Tejas Vaqueros Trail Ride. I have been accepted as a member into this prestigious group, and really look forward to spending the week out in Hunt, TX with 18 of my Maverick Brothers and countless other friends. It’s a 7 day trek where we ride horses, do rodeo events and have a great time. There are two other musicians in my Maverick class, Kevin Fowler and Randy Brown. After the first year, you get invited back the second year, and the third year you are finally made a full member. Some other notable musicians in the Los Hombres No Nombre camp I’ll be in are Nashville artist Trent Willmon, “London Homesick Blues” singer Gary P. Nunn, songwriter Danny Steagall, and cowboy poet Red Steagall.
And finally, we have a new ladies version of the ever popular “I Wasn’t Gonna Drink Today” shirts – now with a V-neck per popular demand!
